Past ANTM winners…

Back in May 2003, ANTM was created by the former Victoria’s Secret model, Ms. Feirce herself, supermodel Tyra Banks. Thousands of aspiring models all over America auditioned for the show and now, after 8 cycles, 8 girls were already named America’s Next Top Model.

Winners of ANTM

1153119763_39f.jpgFirst stop, Adrianne Curry… A lot of people loves her, a lot of people hates her. This tomboy from Joliet, Illonois was crowned as the first winner of ANTM. I don’t want to further introduce her, just read this article i got from wikipedia site : “We were told throughout the taping of the show that the winner would have a huge cosmetics deal with Revlon. Billboards, magazines and all that wonderful fun stuff. What ended up happening was, I found out later on when I was waiting around for this deal that never showed up… I was told that it was just convention work. There had been a deal already arranged before they even picked out the contestants of the show that it would not be a big contract, but that it would just be this thing. They weren’t even sure if the show would make it on the air, let alone be a smash success and then into this cult phenomenon. To be in season one [of America’s Next Top Model] was fabulous because we were the first, but it was also a great learning experience.” –Adrianne Curry  My mouth is shut with this one. Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adrianne_Curry for more of what she said.

images445156_yoannahouse.jpgNext we have Yoanna House, from cycle 2. Because of very high determination to model in high fashion, she lossed over 50 pounds before joining the competition. Though she struggled with her walk at first she proved that nothing is impossible with shear will and determination. She standed out from her fellow final three finalists Shandi and Marcedez (both are very successful in their own careers) and emerged as the winner.

1103193258_5459.jpgMs. Eva “the Diva” Pigford. People say that it is very unfortunate of her to be named as such but oh well. She was tough, playful, loud, mean and quite naughty through out the competition. She cried in front of Tyra in the casting process because of some issues that was brought up in relation with her attitude towards the other girls. After the talk, she decided to say sorry to her competitions. She’s a very good example of not so tall models who made it really really big in the industry. From commercials, TV, MTV, magazines, etc., she’s every where…

naima_mora3.jpgNaima Mora from Detroit, Michigan was Cycle 4’s winner. She was known for her mohawk hair in the competition. Ms. Naima was very introverted during the competition and even admitted that she’s holding back of something from her past that she wanted to keep for herself. Her final test on the runway was a breathtaking one which weighed a lot on the judging. Ugh! Still have the goose bumps just thinking bout it.

244_linkletter_nicole_100206.jpgNicole Linkletter, what I remember about this girl was when she literally went down on her knees and begged to be in the final 13 girls in the casting room and said that she’s gonna do anything to be in. Her stunning and innocent looks with all her hardwork paid off as she was proclaimed the winner of cycle 5.

danielle.jpgThis bubbly but though top model winner here, Danielle (a.k.a. Dani), never failed to intensify her photos week after week. She wouldn’t have her tooth gap closed til Tyra told her that she really have to. Dani also had this serious case of dehydration when they were in Thailand but she didn’t let that show on her photoshoot which made the judges proud of her.

caridee_seventeen-mag.jpgCaridee was the first blonde girl to win the title. It was literally the battle of the blondes with her final competitor Melissa Rose (a.k.a. Melrose). I can still remember their runway showdown scene when Caridee stepped on Melrose’s dress that it’s edge ripped off. It was so funny to watch to see her so pissed off about the gown. The judges didn’t liked Caridee’s acting part on the runway show because she went way over the top. But still looking back on her over all performance, the judges thought that she’s the one who deserves to win.

Now, Ms. Jaslene Gonzalez is the newest addition in the list as she won the recently concluded season of ANTM. Let’s watch out as she dominate the world of Fashion… Yeoj here signing out…
