These are some of the Boy Bands that I grew up with in the 90’s. Who’s your choice?
Boyz II Men
Originally have five members in the group (Nathan Morris, Michael McCary, Shawn Stockman, Wanya Morris, and Marc Nelson) but found fame when Nelson left to go solo. R&B is the groups forte and they are considered as the most successful R&B male vocal group. I love the song “One Sweet Day” which featured Mariah Carey. And the “Bended Knees” song! Gosh! I love those. But of course there were a lot more hit songs from the group.
Backstreet Boys
Consists of Nick, Howie, Brian, & A.J. Kevin left the group when he started to have a family. For me, they’re like the Spice Girls of UK male counterpart. Now this boy band was already a big name when I was a kid. Enormous hit after hit in 90’s made their name literally “larger than life”. I looovvvee their song “Ten Thousand Promises”!
*NSync
JustiN, ChriS, JoeY, JasoN, JC. The group originated from Orlando, Florida in 1995. It was Justin’s mother who commented when she heard how the boys harmonized that they are “in sync”. So there’s were the name NSync came from. The most remarkable songs from NSync for me are “Bye Bye Bye”, “It’s Gonna Be Me” and ”PoP”. And oh their song with Gloria Estefan, “Music of My Heart”. There were several things happened that the members gone solo. Justin really made it big himself alone. Lance Bass recently confirmed that he’s gay and had a relationship with the Amazing Race 4 winner, Reichen Lehmkuhl.
Westlife
The only Irish boy band who made it big time in UK & Ireland. They received the “Record of the Year” in the UK for four times. In 2004 the quintet became a quartet when Bryan McFadden left the band. Their album that I love the most is the “Allow Us To Be Frank” coz I love Frank Sinatra. But I started to like the group since the “Coast to Coast” album.
Il Divo
The Three Tenors merged with Armani Models…that’s Il Divo. Formed by American Idol judge Simon Cowell. The quartet consists of four different nationality just like the Black Eyed Peas (I think). They were from Spain, Switzerland, France and the US. They performed the 2006 the FIFA World Cup official song “Times of Our Lives” with Toni Braxton.

I think…Of these ones you mentioned… which I love more is Backstreet Boys, and I love Justin but I really don’t like NSync…

I still love the Backstreet Boys, always will. Can not STAND Justin Timberlake, hate his voice and his music genre. He is just too fake.

I love Il Divo .. Urs, David, Sebastien & Carlos ….. FANTASTIC!!! Urs is my favourite … their music have saved my soul & the guys are wonderful !!!!
