Do you remember what’s you’re favorite toy when you were a kid? In my case I’m more of the lego, claydo, blcoks and stuff. Something to be built. Maybe that’s why I’m taking up Architecture as my college degree. And I remember back then that I admire my cousin’s collection of robot toys. Guess what, they’re TRANSFORMERS!

I was like COOL!!! Later on as I grew up I lost the interest with this stuff. That was until yesterday when my friends and I watched the super awsome movie the TRANSFORMERS! Never been so happy to see Optimus Prime and Megatron again. Freaky amazing! Spectcular effects and incredible sounds! And of course great sense of humor having there Shia Lebouf as the comic relief. He’s just like any ordinary teenager who’s like chasing up this hot girl and had his first car and stuff. Til he found out that that crapy old car that he bought is an AUTOBOT which eventually became his pal. Ok I don’t want to spoil it to those who haven’t watched it yet but all I can say is that if you’re such an action freak and fond with robots, this is highly recommended!
Trivia: Did you know that Megan Fox was featured in FHM magazine? She’s one of the 100 Sexiest Women of 2006. Now that is hot!

The music industry in the Philippines is slowly but surely ascends from the ashes. One of the main reasons, our very own Pinoy Bands. Hitting the local charts almost everyday now beating up the big foreign ones. Perhaps, us Filipinos are beginning to patronize our own. These guys are my faves… Check ‘em out will ya?! ROCK on!
Hale
They captivated the mass with their unique music. Unique in a good way huh! Something subtle, sometimes playful, sometimes it’s their own art music. And oh! The lead vocalist, Champ Lui Pio, sure is popular with the ladies because of that charming face. Naks! They’re simply amazing. I love their song “Waltz” and “Tollgate”. Nice music videos too.
Rivermaya
This guys know the word fame. Idolized among asian countries after 14 years of hardwork. They really are institutions now. Unfortunately, the lead vocalist Rico Blanco recently announced that he’s resigning from the band I think to persue a solo career. Though Rivermaya won’t be disbanded as a result. Their songs “214″ and “You’ll be Safe Here” are awsome!
Parokya ni Edgar
The funniest Pinoy band I know. Though their songs can be serious at times but they’re good at being silly. They made hits after hits and people just can’t get enough of them. Formed the same year as the Rivermaya in 1993. They may not look like the “rich” type but hey, they’re Atenistas. Their music evolved and matured over the years and they can be notorious on making you laugh. Chito Miranda, lead vocalist is the band’s bearer of silly moves.
Callalily
The band is pretty much new but they already made waves on local hit charts. F**k! I think they’re really, really awsome! I’m sure that this band would be legendary in the future. I just love their music (period). Nice vocals too by Kean Cipriano. These guys ROCK for me!!!

At first I’m not that crazy bout this band. But then time passed by and I started to notice their songs and vocals too. Their latest song “Upside Down” which is a remake really made it well. They got a lot of product endorsements too!
Bamboo
I don’t care if the lead vocalist looks like Senator Chiz Escudero, this band ROCKS! I believe they’re one of the total performers. As in energy overflows when they perform. I love their latest song “Tatsulok”. Pretty controversial but it is awsome! These guys wanna make you proud of being Pinoy!

I’m not so sure if the world has the balance of people who got the good genes with those who don’t. Hmmm… I just wanna make a list of some of the gifted ones. I’m not in the mood to have them ranked so I’m leaving you the job.
Now here’s my list…
Enrique Iglesias
I’ve posted about him before. He’s the son of Julio Iglesias Jr. and supermodel Isabel Preysler. A hot Latino singer for a father and a Filipina mestiza supermodel mom… Jeez, what more can you ask for. Who won’t fall for this pop Latino singer who’s charms magnetized the ladies.
Adriana Francesca Lima
An exotic mix of ethnicity she is. Lima is part African, Indian, and Swiss. Now, she’s entitled as the “Most Voluptuous Virgin”. She’s such a face of innocence with the naughty side. Killer body, face to die for; her most deadliest ammo. Trully she’s a diva on the runway.
Jude Law
This Hollywood hunk has the appeal that can provoke a woman’s desire. I love his movie “A.I” as Joe and “Enemy at the Gates”. He’s one hell of a kisser too, having nominated in the Best Kiss category in the MTV Movie Awards with Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow (in different movies ok).
Cameron Diaz
A Cuban American for a father and Native American, English, German for a mother. Her fatal weapons of choice, alienesque blue eyes and drop dead gorgeous body. She also have an ass kicking personality so watch out.
Ewan McGregor
Charm and good physique of this Scottish hunk is given. But his voice is very captivating. Starred in “Moulin Rouge” opposite Nicole Kidman and “Big Fish” as the Young Edward Bloom. Not to mention his performance in Star Wars series as Obi Wan Kenobi. This guy can really act!
Drew Barrymore
Classic American beauty, that’s what see of her. Born in a clan of American actors. Her beauty and personality are something to die for. She’s like the girl you would want to introduce to your parents. Oh I like her “EverAfter” movie and “Charlie’s Angels” too!

The show created by Miss Banks America’s Next Top Model is a really big success now that it branched out to different countries across the globe. Canada’s lucky enough to have their version of it and it looks very promising to me. Jay Manuel is the host and doing just fine (by the way, I just found out that he’s Canadian… ok that makes sense why he’s hosting this one). They also have Nole Marin takin over Jay’s job in ANTM as the stylist and as the photo shoot director. I just saw the first episode of the second season and I was like hey, not bad at all for a beginning. Well I just hope that the next season of the Philippines Next Top Model (if there would be any) would be a lot better. I have my faves now hehe! I like Tara and Rebecca… Lookin forward on seeing the next episodes! Ciao!

Marie Antoinette & Imelda Marcos
Three best words to describe these two ladies. Different eras, almost of the same fortune. I guess if they belong in the same century and time, they had been really good friends. Both Marie Antoinette, the most glamorous queen of France, and Imelda Marcos, first lady of the late former president of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos, have their own philosophy about beauty that made their name famous all across the globe.

If Imelda was the first lady of a former president, Marie Antoinette was then the wife of a King named King Louis XVI. She was born in a wealthy and a family of royalties in Vienna Austria. Literally, she was born to be famous. She was also known for her sense of style. That made her a fashion icon in her century. Because of the kind of lifestyle that she lived, a lot of gossips and scandals circulated in Versailles. Her popularity among her people soon was replaced with so much hate that everything went upside down for her. Then one thing led to the other and in the end she was executed by guillotine for the crime of treason at the age of 37. Her life was portrayed after so many, many years through film. The most recent was Marie Antoinette with Kirsten Dunst in the title role. Love her there! hehe!

As what I’ve said, they had almost of the same fortune, though no one killed Imelda and thank God, she’s still alive and kicking. Imelda was a former beauty queen naming her as “Rose of Tacloban”, “Miss Leyte” and “Muse of Manila”. She was involved in this whirlwind love story with Ferdinand Marcos that made them close to what the showbiz calls “love team”. Let’s fast forward. President Marcos declared Martial Law all over the Philippines, then there was the People Power that eventually ended his dictatorship days. Their whole family fled to Hawaii after the said event. Imelda’s belongings that includes hundreds of gowns and handbags plus over a thousand pair of shoes was found. Their family lived like royalties then but after what happened and after all the cases filed over their family, standing up again won’t be easy. Now, their family is still pretty much involved into politics. Well, good luck on that.

Step aside Cher, Barbara Streisand, and Madonna! The queen of the drag queens is here. The first ever “supermodel” of the world, no other than Ms. Janice Dickinson. She’s also known as the REAL fake.
A personality that is bigger than life and a beauty that wowed the world. But the reason why she standed out was being a woman of ethnicity (Polish-American). She’s very open about her life that she wrote a number of books. Revealing her life in the public includes her openess about her extensive plastic surgeries. Hey! Time flies and beauty would pass eventually. She also revealed about the abuses that she and her sister had in the hands of their late father.

As we all know, she served as a judge in America’s Next Top Model of Tyra Banks in the first four cycles. She was then replaced by Twiggy the fashion icon and legend in the 60’s though she still had some appearances in the past cycles too. Currently she had this restaurant called The Couture Cafeteria and also started her own modeling agency The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency which was in the form of a reality show (just like Tyra’s) that features male models. All in all, she’s one heck of a gay icon now. I guess the best line she ever said was written on her book entitled “Everything About Me Is Fake… And I’m Perfect” . Don’t you think so?

I just saw this movie and I never thought that a whole bunch of story could circulate within a family for such a small time. I guess it was a day or two. All I can say bout this one is, what a freaky family! But at the same time it was so insanely real.
…no body gets left behind…
Such a series of not so fortunate events may be too much to handle for some other families. A drug addict and perverted grandpa died on the way to the “pageant”; parents who are almost divorced just can’t stop yelling at each other; a gay uncle who had attempted for a suicide coincidentally came across the man whom he did it for; and a brother just waiting to burst out finally let it all out. For any other seven year old kid, this family could make him/her insane & traumatized. It was quite amazing that in the end, they all got the mood to smile and be happy despite of everything.
Now this movie thought me a thing or two. One, even a family as hopeless as this one can find happiness in the most bizzare time nobody would expect. Two, kids beauty pageant could be so ridiculous and a bit too weird for me. I saw this young girls and dressed like they’re 15 years older. Kids are supposed to be kids! Come on now! And oh! Another one, be sure to have your car all set for a long drive because you might end up just like this one that they have to push the bus everytime they have to stop and go again.
Olive (the kid Hoover) was the only one who actually looks like a kid. I thought that the judges would see an eye opener there that hey, they’re just kids. But when the talent show came up and it’s Olive’s turn, I was a bit shocked. Grandpa must be proud of her. Nasty old grandpa thought her some dance moves for her talent. Guess what, the kid did a strip tease. Not all the way of course! Then one of the judge stood up to get the kid off the stage but what happened was a family dance number. And then the whole thing ended up with a policeman and all though no one got arrested. Just like what I said, they went home smiling. Crazy huh?! But it was such a cool movie and I love it!

Again, this is one of my works. And yes, it’s another fruit of boredom. I’d like to call it “halfway Liberation”. My classmate and a good friend, Ms. Dumalus, called me CFAD boy (CFAD meaning College of Fine Arts & Design… one of the colleges in our university). I thought of backing out from my course (Architecture) so many times but I really can’t. So here I am trying to focus on my future “career”. Hope you like this one! Ciao!

I’m a huge fan of the Harry Potter series both in books & film. I haven’t really read all the books but atleast some portions of it. The Harry Potter Craze began when I was in high school. I still remember that I used to print out some pictures of the movie’s cast and some articles then make a collage on my binder. Hehe! People who saw it was amazed with what I did. Ok back to the topic. I’ve seen Harry’s character evolution from this cute and very puzzled kid, to someone so powerful and almost rebellious. J. K. Rowling really did a good job on the research work. I mean to come up with such amazing story is beyond intelligence and practically the reason of her success that made her one of the richest people in the world.

Not to mention, the one who played the role of Harry, Daniel Radcliffe, as well as his closest friends in Hogwarts, Ron & Hermoine (played by Rupert Grint & Emma Watson) matured a lot through the years that passed filming the said novel. This trio had been unbrakeable and inseparable.

Daniel Radcliffe’s fame is very undeniable now. Acting had been his passion since he was a kid and now taking it to the next level. He’s controvercial theater stint in the play Equus, gained him headlines all over the world because of the sudden change of image. In the said play he had to took of his clothes and even had a nude lady around. I believe there also was an issue about him making the next movies for the Harry Potter series because of the said change of image. Personally, I think it won’t be the same if someone else would play the part after the next movie Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Oh boy, what would it be like… Well, I guess growin up ain’t that easy.

Just want to share one of my drawings. Over the years I draw a lot, as in a lot. So this is one of them which I would like to call “NUDE thinking”. This is a followup illustration from the last entry I had which is about gossips. I drew this one when I was so bored in class waiting for my next professor. I’m in class ok so I have no model if that’s what you’re thinking. In other words, this was a fruit of my boredom. Hehe!
